Final Stretch in 4th Grade

April 28, 2025

A multitude of events have been happening in 4th grade. We came back from spring break after months of preparing for the state assessments. They worked very hard getting ready for and did very well taking them.

They took the reading and math state assessments. They are currently still working on their social studies state assessment. This assessment looks very different from reading and math. They have the opportunity to explore one of the 50 states in the United States. They will discover the impact of growth and challenges of each region such as: climate, land forms/physical features, natural resources, and attractions. The students have really enjoyed working on these especially when adding images of their selected state.

The end of the school year is always packed with exciting activities. We have already had one field trip and plan to have around one a week till the end of the school year. This week we have the Water Festival. Next week we will have our 4th-6th grade track meet at the high school. The week of the 12th we will have a baseball trip to Wind Surge in Wichita. Finally, in the last week of school we have a trip to Lions Park. Students will need sack lunches for all these field trips.

We have had a wonderful but fast school year. We hope your students learned much and enjoyed 4th grade. We look forward to seeing them continue growing next year and years to come!
