2nd Graders Are “Goal-Getters!”
January 21, 2025
Second grade students are very good at setting goals and reaching them! Here are some examples:
- 95% of 2nd grade reached their Q2 A.R. goals and received snow cones. If you’re ever in the commons area, please check out our paper chain hanging from the ceiling!
- 100% of 2nd grade reached their Q2 Lexia goals and received an extra half hour recess.
- 2nd grade took 1st place in the Q2 pop tab competition to help Ronald McDonald House and received a pizza and ice cream party.
These are only a few examples of their determination to reach their goals. Part of our Leader in Me program is teaching students to plan and set goals for themselves along with the steps needed to achieve their goals. You may have noticed at conferences that your student has become very good at graphing data and tracking goals in their leadership binder. Once their goal is met, they choose a new goal and keep on climbing!
