Boy has this year flown! We are experiencing lots of allergies this time of year with high pollen counts and the burnings of our surrounding pastures. Other illness such as vomiting and flu viruses are on the decline. With the end of school fast approaching please call or make arrangements to pick up any medication that may be in the High School or Marshall Nurse’s office. We are not allowed to keep medication over the summer therefore any medication left will be disposed of. With the end in sight we have three important dates to remember. Our Pre-K Screenings, Sports Physicals and Kindergarten round-up.
Pre-K screenings will be held on April 29thand 30th. This screening will be for any student who desires to attend our early childhood or Pre-K classes next fall. There will also be health screenings for Birth-3. These screenings include: vision, hearing, developmental skills, speech and language. For more information or to schedule your child’s appointment call 620-583-5588, or stop by our district office at 216 N. Main Street, Eureka, KS.
Sports physicals are to be held May 2nd. This will be provided by USD 389 and our local physicians. There is a fee of $10.00 per physical to be paid on day of physical. Fee can be paid with either check or cash, if paying with check please leave payable to line blank for physician to fill out. Forms will be handed out to students during school the week of the physicals. (6thgrade students will receive them during 6thgrade orientation.

Kindergarten-Roundup will be held Wednesday May 8th. This is for any student who plans to attend Kindergarten in the fall. Check in will be 8:10-8:30am at Marshall Elementary. In order to plan this day, we do ask that you call Marshall Elementary (620-583-5537) to let the teachers know your child plans to attend and to give registration information.
