January 28, 2026
Sixth graders are kicking off an exciting new science chapter by traveling back in time to learn how cells were first discovered! Through videos, reading, and lively class discussions, students are exploring the scientists who invented the microscope and uncovered plant cells, animal cells, and the cell theory.
To deepen their understanding, students are creating vocabulary drawings and writing explanations to show what each new term means. These activities help bring science to life and turn tricky words into clear ideas. With curiosity and creativity, 6th graders are learning that even the smallest things can lead to the biggest discoveries!
