Apple Week Fun!

Last week Kindergarteners had lots of fun celebrating Johnny Appleseeds birthday! We did a lot of apple exploration. In science we hypothsized whether or not we thought different parts of an apple would sink or float like the stem, a seed, and the whole apple then we put our guesses to the test. We also taste tested three different types of apples as well as apple butter, applesauce, and apple juice. We worked on graphing and counting to figure out which apple product was the favorite. It was a big apple week. Finally on Friday to wrap up our apple fun each child got to help peel an apple so that we could cook them in a crockpot to make our own homemade applesauce.
