3C Students are working on fractions on a number line!

Currently, in 3rd Grade, we are in Module 5 of Eureka Math and we are learning all about fractions. In Mrs Henry's class students partnered up to generate simple equivalent fractions by using visual fraction models and the number line. Each group was given a set of intervals to start and end their number line with a fractional unit. They had to determine how many whole numbers there were, partition each whole into the correct fractional unit, and then label the fractions at each tick mark. Then, they had to continue the process by partitioning the same number line into different fractional units and labeling them to locate equivalent fractions. This is challenging for them considering they just learned about fractions a few weeks ago. However, they did a great job! Go 3C!
