Learning About Inuits

2023 is well underway!! Our third graders have been working hard as we begin a new and exciting school year.
In our instructional reading books, we have been reading a story about the Native American Inuit tribe and the unusual amount of fish they caught one day! Upon reading, we have also been learning about the Inuit people and how they live in the snowy, icy Arctic region. We have been studying how they live, where they live, what they live in and what they eat, as well as how they travel from place to place. After learning some new information about the Inuits, we have written an informational writing piece that outlines all the things that we have been learning about this amazing group of people and their lifestyle. We will finish the writing by creating a fun Inuit face craft project that will go in the hallway along with our finished writing pieces. It has been a fun and interesting project!!
