Speech Students Begin Debate

Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #1Speech students spent the first quarter of the semester learnig to perform basic speeches (About me, a Demonstration Speech, an Informative Speech, and a Persuasive Speech). Atudents also got to work in groups coming up with a sales pitch for a real (or imagined) product.
Students take the techniques from these speeches, as well as some advanced research techniques, to put together cases and debate a particular issue. Students in the 1st Hour Speech class are debating "Resolved, that all self-checkout be abolished", and the 6th hour class is debating "Resolved, that EHS adopt a school uniform policy"
