The season may say Fall still, but winter weather is here! Here are some fun ideas to keep the kids entertained at home on cold and snowy days.
- Build a tee pee to read in! 4 chairs, a bed sheet, and some pillows can make a comfortable fort. Grab a flashlight and a good book to read while lounging inside!
- Play freeze dance and add rhyming words to the mix! Divide the family into teams and crank the tunes. When the music stops you must freeze. One member calls out a word and the other team must answer back with a rhyming word within 5 seconds.
- Grab some snow to make the best ice cream! Mix milk, sugar, a splash of vanilla, and a few cups of snow together to make your very own ice cream.
- Have your child help you make lunch or supper and then have a picnic. Enjoy cooking together even if it is just a sandwich! Spread a blanket or a towel on the floor and enjoy eating together picnic style.
