Cross Country Highlights

October 10, 2023

Our high school Cross-Country season has been going very well this season with a school record set by Rose Buck early on in the season at Girard with a time of 19:15. Our high school team has been improving daily with PR’s earned and we are currently ranked #1 with Rose Buck and # 9 with Britta Mongeau in the SEK.  In our regular season we have earned 2 junior varsity medals and 16 varsity medals. We have TVL this Thursday at Humboldt on October 12th and we have our 2A Regionals this year on October 21st at the Greenbush course where Rose previously set the school record and Britta had her best time of the season.  Rose is very confident with this course and is working hard to break the record once again faster then 19 minutes.  I enjoy her confidence as well as her drive and I definitely can see her accomplishing her goals!

Our junior high school Cross-Country season is about to come to a close this week with their last meet being the TVL in Humboldt on Thursday, October 12h.  This junior high team has worked very hard through the season and they have made a lot of strides through the season as far as personal bests as well as 1st place finishes.  The overall team has earned 22 medals so far in their 6 regular season meets of the year.  I look forward to see how well we finish this week in the TVL and I am excited for these individuals to compete next year.

This is a very tough sport and I commend these young athletes for their productive year so far.
