Eureka's Results at the Wichita Regional Science and Engineering Fair 2018

Qualifying students from Eureka Jr/Sr High School attended the Wichita Regional Science and Engineering Fair (WRSEF) on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Exploration Place in Wichita, Kansas. Entered in the competition were 43 students representing 27 projects from students ranging from 8th to 10th grade. The students displayed their work and interviewed with multiple judges. Exploration Place treated the participants to enjoying the science displays and viewing an IMax movie entitled "Dream Big."

The results of WRSEF are as follows:

Division II - 8th Graders earning 1st place ribbons: Rylie Smalley, Victoria Perkins, Garrison Spoonts and Shelby Welsh, Ashton Olson and Danielle Gulick, Zaria Willis and Alina Boling, Dalten Grabast, and Alyssa Gore and Wyatt Samuels. 8th graders earning 2nd place ribbons: Shilo Scott and Dylan Guy.

Division I - High School students earning 1st place ribbons: Ava Perrier and McKenna Richardson, Megan Smith and MiKaylin Willis, Kade Coon and Ethan Westerman, Kynzie Huddleston and Amanda Mouer, Rose Marie Inmann-Hall, Emilee Escarena and Justin Zimmers, Destiny Hubbard and Erin Wood, Rusty Hurley and Gideon Gulick, Keeley Coon, Jason Torrey and Zach Hare, Haydon Mead, Ben Sunderland and Braden Rucker, and Brandon Darbyshire and Cade Larcom. High School students earning 2nd place ribbons: Ethan Dennis and James Baxter, Katie Sherman and Madelyn Koop, Collin Countryman, and Douglas Davisson.

Division II - 8th Graders earning medals for 1st in their category: Victoria Perkins, Garrison Spoonts and Shelby Welsh, Dalten Grabast, Dakota Sheets, and Alyssa Gore and Wyatt Samuels.

Division I - High School students earning medals for 1st in their category: Ava Perrier and McKenna Richardson, Kynzie Huddleston and Amanda Mouer, Douglas Davisson, Rusty Hurley and Gideon Gulick, Destiny Hubbard and Erin Wood, and Ben Sunderland and Braden Rucker.

Division II - Dalten Grabast won 3rd Place Overall!

Division 1 - Ava Perrier and McKenna Richardson won 2nd Place Overall!

All of the students who took projects to WRSEF qualified for the state competition. The students competed well, behaved responsibly and had a great day at Exploration Place. Congratulations to all of the winners.
